This cable helps maintain safe and reliable operation by ensuring the engine stops when you move the lever to the Stop position. Replace the throttle cable if the engine won t shut off, the lever feels stiff, or you have trouble adjusting engine speed. A worn or damaged cable can make it harder to control your tractor and may affect safe operation. Before replacing the cable, park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Wear work gloves to protect your hands, and route the new cable the same way as the old one to avoid binding or kinks.
