Basic informationPart name: Snowblower upper handle, rightManufacturer: MTDCategory: Snowblower handles and controlsPrimary function: Provides a grip point on the right side for steering and controlling the snowblowerInstallation & compatibilityCompatible models: Fits select MTD, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and Yard-Man snowblowers; confirm compatibility using your models parts diagramsInstallation difficulty: Medium; requires aligning the handle with the frame and securing fastenersTools required: Wrench set, screwdriver Additional Information: This snowblower upper handle, right, part number 749-0990A, attaches to the snowblowers handle assembly on the right side to give you a secure grip for steering and maneuvering during operation. It works with the left handle to provide balanced control so you can guide the machine confidently over snow and ice. If the upper handle bends, cracks, or loosens, steering can feel unstable or uncomfortable. You might notice vibration at the handle, difficulty maintaining control, or a handle that twists when you apply pressure, especially when pushing or turning the snowblower. Disconnect the spark plug wire before starting the repair to prevent accidental startup. Handle components and fasteners can have sharp edges, so wearing work gloves can help protect your hands during installation. Make sure the handle is properly aligned and all fasteners are securely tightened before using the snowblower.
