Proper washer placement helps fasteners stay tight and aligned during equipment operation. If a fastener loosens repeatedly, digs into the mounting surface, or components shift out of alignment, a worn, bent, or missing washer may be the cause. Deformation or corrosion can also reduce how well the washer distributes load. Before starting the repair, disconnect the power source appropriate for your equipment to prevent accidental operation. Install the washer in the correct position, then tighten the fastener securely without over-torquing. Flat washer 736-0234 replaces part number AF-141.
