A properly fitted lens helps support safe operation in low-light conditions. If the headlight appears dim, the lens is cracked or missing, or moisture builds up inside the housing, the lens may be damaged or no longer sealing properly. Clouding or heavy scratches can also reduce visibility. Before starting the repair, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Remove the damaged lens if present, then install the new lens so it seats securely and seals evenly within the housing.
