If snow sprays unpredictably, the chute will not stay aligned, or you see cracks, warping, or damage, the upper chute may be worn or broken. Loose mounting points or deformation can also affect how well the chute directs snow. Before starting the repair, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
