Additional Information: The Husqvarna Lawn Tractor Gauge Wheel (part number 589527301) replaces part numbers 174873 and 587048801. It helps protect your mower deck and lawn by keeping the deck elevated on uneven terrain or during turns, preventing scraping and scalping. If your mower deck is gouging the lawn or making uneven contact with the ground, the gauge wheels may be worn or missing. Replacing them can restore balance to the cutting deck and improve cut consistency. To install the new gauge wheel, park the tractor on a flat surface and disconnect the spark plug wire. Wear work gloves for protection and use a wrench to remove the old hardware and secure the new wheel. Make sure the wheel is mounted firmly to ensure proper deck clearance.
