The worm gear portion helps change direction and speed of rotation as needed for proper impeller function. If the impeller will not turn even though the engine is running, slips under load, or drives unevenly, the impeller shaft and worm gear assembly may be worn or damaged. Grinding noises, binding movement, or uneven rotation during operation can also indicate issues in this assembly. Disconnect the spark plug wire before beginning the repair. This assembly involves rotating components and metal edges, so work gloves can help protect your hands during removal and installation. Make sure the shaft and gear mesh properly and the impeller rotates smoothly before reconnecting the spark plug wire. | GE Ariens Snowblower Impeller Shaft And Worm Gear Assembly 53200100 Genuine OEM
