This is a Genuine OEM Fisher & Paykel part. This drain valve and O-ring (part number 522150) is for dishwashers. Drain valve and O-ring 522150 opens to let water from the drain pump flow to the drain hose while preventing drain water from flowing back into the dishwasher. Also included is the O-ring seal for the valve. Unplug the dishwasher and shut off the water supply before installing this part.
