This prevents damage to the engine or transmission by absorbing the impact and disconnecting the auger from the drive system. If the auger stops spinning while the engine continues to run, the shear bolt may be broken and should be replaced. Replacing it restores auger movement and ensures the snowblower operates safely and effectively. Before installing, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Remove any broken bolt pieces, align the auger holes with the drive shaft, and install the new shear bolt securely. Tighten the hardware as needed and wear work gloves to protect your hands during installation. | Ariens Snowblower Shear Bolt 51001500 Genuine OEM
