Description
This is a Genuine OEM Craftsman part. Basic InformationPart Name: Lawn tractor snowblower attachment tensioning chainManufacturer: Agri-FabCategory: Lawn tractor accessoryPrimary Function: Connects to the belt idler pulley and keeps the snowblower drive belt tightInstallation & CompatibilityCompatible Models: Fits various Agri-Fab lawn tractor snowblower models. Please confirm this part is correct for your model before ordering. Installation Difficulty: Medium; requires basic mechanical skillsTools Required: Wrench set; work gloves recommended for safety Additional Information: The Agri-Fab lawn tractor snowblower attachment tensioning chain (part number 46963) connects to the belt idler pulley to maintain proper tension on the drive belt. If the chain is worn, stretched, or broken, the belt can slip or come loose, causing poor snowblower performance, belt squealing, or complete loss of drive to the auger. Replacing a damaged tensioning chain restores correct belt tension, allowing the snowblower attachment to operate efficiently and clear snow without interruption. A properly tensioned belt also reduces wear on pulleys and other drivetrain components. To install, turn off the lawn tractor, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. Use a wrench set to detach the old chain from the idler pulley and attachment point, then secure the new chain in the same locations. Check that the belt sits snugly but moves freely before resuming operation.
