This connection prevents slipping so rotational force transfers accurately during operation. You might notice a pulley or gear spinning without driving the connected component, sudden loss of motion, or timing that feels off even though the shaft is turning. Shearing, rounding of the key edges, or a missing key can also allow components to shift out of alignment. Disconnect the spark plug wire before beginning the repair. Working with keyed shafts and metal edges can expose sharp surfaces, so work gloves can help protect your hands. Seat the key fully in the shaft slot and confirm the mating component fits flush before reconnecting the spark plug wire. | Ariens Snowblower Woodruff Key 06600100 Genuine OEM
