Your Vapor Pad is constructed with an expanded aluminum base coated in a hydrophilic material that absorbs and distributes water. As mineral scale builds up during use, airflow is restricted. Washing the pad strips off the hydrophilic coating and crushes the aluminum mesh, rendering the pad unable to produce humidity. How often should I change the GA35 Vapor Pad? Replace your Vapor Pad 1 to 2 times per humidification season. Homes with heavy heating demand or hard water should replace the pad every 3 to 4 months to prevent scale build-up from blocking system airflow. Which humidifier models are compatible with the GA35 pad? The GA35 pad fits GeneralAire models 4200 & 4500; Aprilaire models 350, 360, 560, 568, 600, 700, 760, & 768; and Honeywell models HE260, HE265, HE360, & HE365. Which way should the pad face during installation? Always slide the pad into the frame with the black mark positioned at the top.
