Have you ever had a broken part or a missing part that you needed to complete your project or get an appliance running again? And when you went to order it, you struggled to identify the right one? And when you finally thought you’d found it, the part you received turned out to be wrong?
I started GetPartFound because finding the right replacement part is harder than it should be. The problem usually isn’t the part. It’s the information. Service manuals are dense. Parts diagrams are buried in PDFs. Cross-references between OEM and aftermarket options can be unintuitive or inconsistent. And when you’re not sure exactly what you need, the risk of ordering the wrong thing is real: the wrong part arrives, fits almost but not quite, and ends up in a drawer while the equipment sits broken.
Wrong identification, time lost, abandoned return, broken machine. That’s the real cost of bad parts information. And it’s largely (if not entirely) avoidable with the right guides and data.
GetPartFound exists to fix that. This site is where I share what I learn: parts identification guides, sourcing breakdowns, fabrication walkthroughs, and honest comparisons across OEM, aftermarket, and DIY options. The focus is on equipment most people own but few enjoy paying to maintain. Tractors, small engines, mowers, appliances, and the occasional truck.
Whether you’re a mechanic, a farmer, a DIYer, or just someone trying to fix something without making three wrong orders first, this site is for you. So is the next thing I’m building. More on that soon.
